Aunt Cindy and Cassie Visit

David's first painting

Emily draws people

Hi all,

It's been a whirlwind month! Two Chinese New Year celebrations, 6+ birthdays, and a visit by Aunt Cindy and cousin Cassie. Will the madness ever end? Apparently not, because David's surgery is next month.

Aunt Cindy n Cassie Were Here

Oh my gosh, the craziness of family get togethers...the kids had a ball changing laps. I think David's feet rarely hit the floor with cousin Cassie's arms to hold him. And now Em wants to live in Pennsylvania with Miss Cindy and Cassie rather than deal with a baby brother taking her things.

Aunt Cindy and Cass brought Emily a Princess Aurora dress with matching slippers, and that's what cinched the desired move. Just look at our little diva! That dress hasn't been on a hanger for long ever since.

Happy Birthday, Ashley!

Friend Ashley turned 3 years old and had a great party at Snippets, a kids hairstyling place. The girls had their hair done, painted their nails and faces, and did dress up, crafts, and more. Emily was in her glory, especially when staff led them down a red carpet to cheers from adoring parents.

Other New Stuff

David began speech therapy and is already saying "nite nite"
"bye bye", "girl", "clean up", and possibly "I want my Mama" (in bed the other night--Kevin swears he did). He's more at home than ever, and is becoming very mobile, although he still falls a lot. Early Intervention folks estimate he's six months delayed in gross motor skills and expressive speech, but they're equally convinced he'll come along just fine in time.

He's enjoying storytime at the library with Miss Diane, just like Emily did. And the weather has been--"stupid", as my friend Mary Ellen puts it--hot one day, cold for 2, then hot and muggy all over again. Emily is sick with possible pneumonia, so we're missing school and playtime! Daddy left this morning for 10 days of business travel, and BOY ARE WE GONNA MISS HIM!!! He suggested I blog regularly while he's away to keep myself sane, with stories of how our days go. I might just do that, or be committed!

Here's our little guy in all his glory...
