Friends and family have been asking about the flooding in China lately, so click on the link for more information about it:
The major part of the flooding appears to be in Wuzhou, which is on the very East of Guangxi province, where Emily is from. Emily's orphanage is in Cenxi City, you can see from the map below is Southwest of Wuzhou, and apparently at a higher elevation.
Our adoption agency assures us that our guides in China are in constant communication with them regarding the flooding, and there appears to be no danger at this point. American families are still traveling daily to China, although some in Guangzhou (the home of the American consulate) say the streets are flooded and they slosh around through the polluted water. We won't be doing that with our daughter unless we find boots--for American-sized feet!
