We're relaxing in our hotel room in Gainesville after David's pre-op appointment. Surgery is tomorrow morning after 6am. It almost didn't happen since David's endocrinology test results (from the 4-hour blood test last week) hadn't come in yet. So, we had a tense hour calling the Orlando doctor from the plastic surgeon's office in Gainesville, because without the results, there would be no surgery. Turns out, some blood levels are fine, but David will need growth hormone shots in the near future.
The anesthesiologist is concerned about David's heart anomalies as well, so if the notes from David's cardiologist didn't come in, David will need a sonogram before surgery. Why do so many bumps occur in the road just as things are looking home free? Murphy's Law, I guess. At least Emily is doing well, hanging out with PapaRea and having a great time...and being a very good girl! We love you, Emmy! Baby Bruffy says hi! (Uncle Baby David's new name)
We'll keep everyone updated on David's progress. A big HI to little Kate Braun who's recuperating in Arnold Palmer Hospital from a possible nasty virus. We love you, Kate! Brother Addison should be arriving from China in just over a month now! How exciting!!
