One More Daaaayyyyy!!!!!! :D

We can't believe it's finally here. Tomorrow we leave for China!! We're so excited, I can't sleep, and Kevin has uncontrollable bursts of excitement. I almost drove the car off the road yesterday when another one came over him and he yelled "AAAAHHHHHH!!!!" in the car!

Packing was a joke. When we weren't pulling cats out of the suitcases, we were trying to stay under the 44 pound, In-China weight restriction. (Big fines for the travel group if people exceed the limit.) My suitcase was 10 pounds over, so good friend Wanda offered to repack for me. Turns out, my two bags of prunes weighed 20 ounces! Several other unneeded items were ditched. Actually, Wanda repacked a separate suitcase of ditched items. Looks like a possible side business for her!

Friends and adoptive parents Cindy and Russ left today--they're receiving little Abigail Hua in ChongChing province the day before we get Emily. Lisa and Jeff leave July 10th for Taylor Grace in Hunan province. How ironic, all three provinces touch each other, and we're all good friends! Here's the three of us girls when we registered at Babies-R-Us earlier this year. Er, well, that's us taking a much needed break at PF Changs, a wonderful authentic Chinese restaurant in Winter Park. We were laughing so hard that a lady from the next table who's daughters were both on their cell phones came and sat with us because she said we were more fun! We three met through our local Families with Asian Children (FAC) group...wonderful bunch of people.

Mom and Dad pick us up tomorrow, and we'll meet my nephew Anthony at the airport for an hour. He'll then travel to Mom and Dad's, and we'll board our first of 3 planes! Anthony made a jewelry box for Emily in Woodshop, and we'll post a photo as soon as we see it!
